Self-assessment

GEO visibility self-assessment checklist

A practical, educational checklist to find weak signals before building more AI search content.

This is a self-assessment, not a professional audit

The purpose of this page is to help readers identify obvious weaknesses before they spend time creating more content. It is educational, practical and limited. It does not guarantee ranking or AI Overview visibility.

Audit step 1: Can the brand be described?

Write one sentence that describes the entity. If the sentence is vague, the site has a foundation problem. A strong sentence includes the brand, category, audience and topic.

Audit step 2: Can the page answer one question?

Choose the page’s main question. If the answer is buried below generic marketing copy, move it upward and make it clearer.

Audit step 3: Can the claims be checked?

Mark every claim that sounds impressive. Then ask whether a reader can verify it. Unsupported claims should be softened, explained or removed.

Audit step 4: Are related pages connected?

Look for orphan pages and disconnected topics. A good knowledge hub connects definitions, checklists, tools and deeper guides.

Audit step 5: Are technical basics clean?

Use the free scoring tool for a quick estimate, then compare your answers with the full checklist.
